It is a blah kind of day so far. Ever have one of those? Coffee doesn't cut it. It is like walking around in a coma. I will push on. Maybe after some creative juices start flowing here, I will be able to really tackle my day!
Maybe it has much to do with the holding pattern I am in. Have been in it for awhile. Planning for our big move to Florida. Debating if we should on and off for over a year. Worrying about all the kids. The economy. Hoping it will all get better so we don't have too. On and on.
Sometimes you just don't want to talk about it or anything for that matter. My poor Mother suffers because of my break. She is tickled pink. I don't blame her. She finally gets to be a full time Grandmother! Not just for a week here or there every year. A real day in and day out part of my boys' lives! God, help them!
There are so many benefits to moving there. My mom. My friends. No shovelling of snow. Iced windows. Slush in the entryway of the house! Plenty of Vit.D. Helping Mom out. Mom helping us out. The list goes on and on. BUT. Yes there are buts.
I really love the Mid West. The seasons. My oldest three children (who will not be coming with us).
My friends. Family. Extended family and there is a lot! Twelve years of life. And yes the snow. Minus the shovelling and slush and mess it makes, it is wonderful! And here too the list goes on and on.
I guess when it comes right down to it, both places have equal plus and minuses. But my Mom is a big plus for Florida.
So, off we go. To rekindle old relationships (new for my husband) and make new ones for both of us. Help Mom out and have Mom help us out too. Find decent steady work for both of us. Get plenty of sunshine. Show my husband places I have been. And maybe just maybe he and I will get to Key West. Never been there. Add it to my list of things to do! And above all hold WI. and MN close to my heart especially because it has three of the most precious people to my heart!
